Safe wording: “Leading in public pulse votes by zone” means leading this platform’s open participation vote in that zone only — not winning the zone, not the official regional winner, not a scientific polling result, not an INEC result.

How We Display Regional Results

Oxford-Metro uses a four-stage threshold system. No candidate names, rankings, or percentages are shown until minimum verified responses are reached per zone.

0–49
Awaiting Threshold
No candidate names. No rankings. No percentages. Zone shows response count only.
50–149
Early Signal
Leading candidate name visible. No percentages shown. Caveat: early signal, low confidence.
150–499
Regional Pulse Active
Name + last updated shown. No percentages. Results have meaningful participation but may shift.
500+
Strong Regional Signal
Top two candidates shown with percentages. Clearer regional signal — still open participation, not scientific.
Never shown: 0% charts · Fake rankings · Simulated percentages · Hardcoded regional leaders · “Zone winner” language · “Official regional result” language.

Participation volume shows how many verified responses have been recorded per zone. High participation does not mean a zone supports any particular candidate. It means more people from that zone have contributed public pulse data.
Data Integrity

How Regional Pulse Works

Oxford-Metro groups public pulse responses by selected state and maps each state to its geopolitical zone. State is collected directly from voters — we do not rely on IP geolocation, which VPNs and mobile networks make unreliable.

State-to-Zone Mapping

When voters select their state, the system automatically maps it to the correct geopolitical zone. Lagos → South West. Rivers → South South. Kano → North West. Borno → North East. Benue → North Central. Anambra → South East.

Four-Tier Threshold System

No candidate names until 50 responses. No percentages until 500 responses. Zone results appear in stages as verified responses accumulate. This prevents misleading early signals from small sample sizes.

Shared Data Source

The Regions Page reads from the same vote database and AJAX endpoints used by the homepage and Live Vote Page. There is no separate regional database. All pages show the same verified results.

Anti-Manipulation Controls

IP hashing, device fingerprinting, and cookie tracking prevent duplicate responses. Suspicious patterns are flagged and may be removed. Only approved votes count toward regional totals.

Important: Regional Pulse reflects open public participation from website visitors. It is not an official election result, not an INEC result, not a party primary result, and not a scientific field poll. Do not use these results to claim any candidate is officially leading any zone or region.
ⓘ Compliance Notice

Oxford-Metro Regional Pulse reflects open public participation from website visitors. Responses are grouped by self-reported state and mapped to geopolitical zones. Regional data is displayed only after minimum verified response thresholds are met.

This is not an official election result, not an INEC result, not a party primary result, and not a scientific field poll. No candidate should be described as “winning” or “dominating” a zone based on Oxford-Metro public pulse data. “Leading in public pulse votes by zone” means leading this platform’s open participation vote in that zone only.
